Our Story
AlaskanArrows was founded in 2019 by two longtime friends, John and Henry, who share a deep love for the outdoors. From camping trips as kids to testing survival skills in the wild, we’ve spent years pushing our limits, making mistakes, and learning what works (and what definitely doesn’t).
We started this site because we saw a need for trustworthy, experience-backed outdoor content—not just generic advice, but real insights from people who live and breathe the lifestyle.

Our Editors
Meet our editors Joshua, Alena and Kyle, they edit the content that you see on the website, and they work hard to keep it running. Joshua, Alena and Kyle are all adventurers themselves with a passion for the outdoors and spends a lot of their free time camping and hiking when they’re not working their 9-5s.
Our Mission
Our mission at AlaskanArrows is threefold:
- Education: We believe that knowledge is the key to success. Through our meticulously researched articles, tutorials, and guides, we strive to empower outdoorsmen with the information they need to make informed decisions, refine their techniques, and achieve their goals. We cover a wide range of topics, including gear reviews, guides, tips, tricks, conservation, ethics, and more.
- Inspiration: We aim to inspire outdoorsmen by sharing captivating stories, extraordinary camping, hiking and prepping experiences. We believe that by immersing ourselves in the stories of others, we can ignite the passion within ourselves and foster a sense of unity within the outdoors community.
